Varvarco Fly & Camp
Fly fishing for trout in high-country lagoons and streams, with a mountain camp in Neuquén, Argentina.
The journey
High-country trout and days on remote water at the edge of the Andes.
The road into Varvarco is part of the experience. We follow the Río Neuquén past towering rock formations. Farther on, the river narrows and the lagoons appear at around 2,000 meters above sea level, with Volcán Domuyo on the horizon.
We fly fish lagoons, streams and headwaters. Our guides choose the water and adapt each day to the conditions and your group's experience. There is room to learn a new technique, put familiar skills to work and fish without watching the clock.
At midday, we share lunch in the mountains before heading back to the water. By late afternoon, camp welcomes us with a selection of snacks, a fire and time to talk. Over a local craft beer or a glass of wine and the day’s stories, we start picturing our next outing.
Varvarco Fly & Camp is more than a premium fishing excursion: it is a chance to spend several days immersed in the mountains, with a well-prepared camp where you can relax and enjoy the hours off the water, too.
Choose four or five fishing days. Ask us about upcoming dates and travel logistics, and let's plan your Varvarco trip.
